High School Student Worker - Weekend Shift


BrainBoost Tutoring Ltd. is looking for a part time student worker to assist with making the HUB a great, comfortable, productive place on the week-ends.  BrainBoost provides progressive, holistic education for students from grade two to twelve. 

What does the job entail?

  • Saturdays 12:00-4:00 and Sundays 12:00-4:00
  • communicating and assisting students, parents and tutors
  • basic computer tasks
  • cleaning, organizing, and tidying up common areas
  • maintaining a calm and productive atmosphere at the HUB
  • solving problems as they arise

We are looking for people who:

  • will be professional and calm during stressful moments
  • can work independently and as part of a team
  • are self-critical and driven to improve and learn new things

Homework Help Tutor

BrainBoost provides student centered education for students of all ages. We are looking for a well-rounded teacher who can lead our Homework Help, which is the part of our program designed for students from Grades 8  to 12, most of whom are taking their high school courses online. If you are an interesting, progressive person with a holistic understanding of education, this job could be for you. BrainBoost operates out of the HUB (3355 West Broadway – Blenheim and West Broadway).


What does the job entail?

  • comfortable with Science 8–10, Math 8–12, Biology, Chemistry and Physics 11 and 12
  • working 30–40 hours a week - small groups and one-on-one
  • working with teams to construct, apply and adjust educational plans for specific needs
  • preparing and reflecting on your teaching experiences

We are looking for a person who:

  • has taught high school subjects
  • can inspire students
  • is self-critical and driven to improve and learn
  • is inquisitive about the world and passionate about many things

Elementary Literacy Tutor

BrainBoost Tutoring is looking for tutors to implement our progressive, holistic approach with students from Grades 2 to 7.  BrainBoost operates out of the HUB  (3355- West Broadway – Blenhiem and West Broadway). Right now we need tutors for elementary aged students with learning challenges.

What does the job entail?
  • working one on one with the students – 10 hours a week to suit your schedule
  • preparing and reflecting on teaching experiences
  • working with a team to construct, apply and adjust educational plans for specific needs
We are looking for people who:
  • have experience working with children with learning challenges and self-regulation issues
  • can help create engaging curriculum
  • are self-critical and driven to improve and learn
What do we offer?
  • support as you apply principals in your work with students

  • $21.00–28.00 per hour – depending on experience

Student Services (Part-time)

BrainBoost Tutoring is looking for a part-time student services person.  BrainBoost provides progressive, holistic education for students from grade two to twelve.  BrainBoost operates out of the HUB (3355- West Broadway – Blenhiem and West Broadway). 

What does the job entail?
  • working one on one with our students – two nights a week and most Saturdays and Sundays – 4 hour shifts
  • registering students for on line classes
  • monitoring the students weekly goals and ensuring completion of their tasks by the end of the week
  • maintaining student’s focus and motivation
  • communicating with the other student services person
  • working with a team to construct, apply and adjust educational plans for specific needs
We are looking for people who:
  • have experience working with students – preferably those with learning challenges and self-regulation issues
  • can help create engagement in students
  • are self-critical and driven to improve and learn
What do we offer?
